Here are three events you might find of interest.
Robin DiAngelo Lecture
Dr. Robin DiAngelo, author of "What Does it Mean to be White? Developing White Racial Literacy" will be speaking at University Unitarian Church on Saturday, January 20 from 1 to 5 p.m. DiAngelo is a sought-after, nationally-recognized speaker and was a popular presenter at last year's General Assembly. University Unitarian Church has graciously opened up space for 30 participants from EUUC.
If you are interested in attending, email and let us know how many seats you would like to reserve. Please plan on carpooling -- we'll send you the details.
Racial Justice Workgroup Meeting
Join the Racial Justice Workgroup and Rev. Cecilia Kingman for a meeting to develop themes and goals for the group. The meeting will be held on Sunday, January 21 at 12:30. Please bring lunch or food to share.
Women's March 2.0
The Seattle Women's March, which is being organized in coordination with marches across the country, is scheduled for January 20. According to their Facebook page, it will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The starting point is Cal Anderson Park. If you are interested in attending, please check with the volunteer at the Social Justice Desk this Sunday or email and ask for an update on EUUC's involvement.
